Consultation has concluded
Short-term rental (STR), also referred to as a vacation rental, is a furnished housing unit occupied by a tenant for a short duration (typically less than 29 days), usually for a vacation or business trip.
On September 12, 2022, Council directed Administration to conduct public consultation regarding short-term rentals to determine the community's vision for short-term rentals within our Town. - Noise
- Open Burn
- Waste Collection
- Yard Maintenance

On Monday, April 17, 2023, at 5 pm, a report went to Council, reflecting residents' shared feedback and researched findings regarding Short Term Rentals in Ontario. Compliance Info Session FOR Short-Term Rental OWNERS - Saturday, May 13th, starts promptly at 9 am at The Libro Centre, 3295 Meloche Rd. Thank you to those Short-Term Rental Owners who took the time to participate in the information session.
It is anticipated Short Term Rental owners will be able to apply for their licence in June 2023—dates to be determined.
